Covert Devotion: The Aurora Ritter Story
(Trailer) This documentary reveals the WWII-era story of Aurora Ritter, an Alabama school teacher who is deceived by her German-immigrant husband, Nikolaus Ritter, when he emerges as the leader of one of the largest enemy spy rings in American history. When Aurora is stranded in Nazi Germany, she fights heroically to protect her children from the horrors of war.

Womcom Media is the love child of Greg Womble and his 25+ years of work as a media creator. Originally from Tallahassee, Florida, Greg lives in Birmingham, Alabama where he serves as a documentary film producer and freelance writer.
Greg’s career began at public radio station WVSU-FM where he innovated a new jazz music format and wrote/co-produced The Science Police, a comedy franchise that evolved into science education programming for Kentucky Educational Television.
In addition to his current project—the feature documentary COVERT DEVOTION: THE AURORA RITTER STORY—Greg has produced the short films VISITOR TO VIRGIN PINES, A DAY AND TWO HOURS LATE: MY HUNTER S.THOMPSON STORY, and LOVE WITHOUT PAROLE with co-producer Elaine Witt.

The short documentary LOVE WITHOUT PAROLE was the 2022 winner of Best Documentary Film at the Oregon Short Film Festival. The film, which Greg co-produced with journalist Elaine Witt, is currently being aired as part of the PBS series, Reel South.
Greg’s first independent film credit was as a co-writer for the feature film, BY THE GRACE OF BOB for Belltower Pictures.
The 2020 short documentary A DAY AND TWO HOURS LATE: MY HUNTER S. THOMPSON STORY (which Greg co-produced with long-time collaborator Willard Whitson) debuted at the Sidewalk Film Festival in Birmingham and screened at other festivals nationally.
